Arbor Day Coffee is shade-grown in the rain forest. This method encourages farmers to cultivate coffee responsibly under the rain forest tree canopy rather than clear-cutting areas of rain forest to make way for a more mechanized approach. Learn more.

The Arbor Day Foundation works directly with farmers to promote sustainable agroforestry management practices. We visit with the farmers each year to ensure they meet our requirements and certify that our coffee is shade-grown. Our La Sombra Blend is also Fair Trade Certified.™

Arbor Day Coffee consists of 100 percent Arabica beans.

An unopened package of coffee will last approximately 6 months.

It is best to use an opened package of coffee within 2 weeks.

We recommend storing your coffee in an airtight container and in a cool, dark, dry place. Storing coffee in a refrigerator or freezer is not recommended, as it mutes the aroma of the coffee and is not proven to extend life or freshness.

The Celiac Sprue Association (CSA) considers all fresh-brewed coffee to be gluten free.

Yes. If you sign up for the Arbor Day Coffee Club, you will receive a 20% discount on all of your coffee shipments. Wholesale pricing is also available if you or your company purchases over 50 lbs. of coffee per month. Please contact us at 402-473-9543 for more details.

Most “k-cups” on the market today are made from non-recyclable plastic, and do contribute to landfill waste. Arbor Day Coffee single-serve capsules are made from 100% #5 recyclable plastic, offering users a more sustainable single-serve option.

If your community recycling program does not currently accept #5 plastics, we encourage you to recycle your capsules with our partner, TerraCycle. Visit www.terracycle.com to learn how you can quickly and easily recycle these and other traditionally difficult-to-recycle products in your home.

Depending on the weight of your coffee, we will either ship using USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground. By shipping your coffee using the most cost-effective method, we can ensure you receive the best price.
