Arbor Day Coffee is shade-grown in the rain forest. This method encourages farmers to cultivate coffee responsibly under the rain forest tree canopy rather than clear-cutting areas of rain forest to make way for a more mechanized approach. Learn more.

The Arbor Day Foundation works directly with farmers to promote sustainable agroforestry management practices. We visit with the farmers each year to ensure they meet our requirements and certify that our coffee is shade-grown. Our La Sombra Blend is also Fair Trade Certified.™

Arbor Day Coffee consists of 100 percent Arabica beans.

An unopened package of coffee will last approximately 6 months.

It is best to use an opened package of coffee within 2 weeks.

We recommend storing your coffee in an airtight container and in a cool, dark, dry place. Storing coffee in a refrigerator or freezer is not recommended, as it mutes the aroma of the coffee and is not proven to extend life or freshness.

The Celiac Sprue Association (CSA) considers all fresh-brewed coffee to be gluten free.

Arbor Day Coffee blends are available in 12 oz. packages.

Yes. If you sign up for the Arbor Day Coffee Club, you will receive a 20% discount on all of your coffee shipments.

Depending on the weight of your coffee, we will either ship using USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground. By shipping your coffee using the most cost-effective method, we can ensure you receive the best price.
