The Formosa Azalea Grows in zones 8 - 10
  • Produces 3" funnel-shaped magenta flowers, each with a darker accent blotch, that bloom in the spring; in some areas, the plant will bloom again in the fall
  • Features elliptical, medium green leaves 1½" in length that persist throughout the year
  • Grows in a rounded shape
  • Should be protected from the wind
  • Works well as a mass planting, specimen, foundation plant, border or hedge

Hailing from southern India, this evergreen shrub is a true eye-catcher. Large magenta flowers emerge in the spring, and in some areas the plant event has a second bloom in the fall. It is commonly used for a mass planting, specimen, foundation plant, border, or hedge.
