Considered a continuous bloomer, the Tilt-A-Swirl hydrangea produces blossoms that are real show-stoppers. And as the season progresses, the flowers deepen in color and continue to transform throughout the autumn months. You may find the perfect spot for a Tilt-A-Swirl in a container, bed, or border. It also works well as a specimen shrub.
While it doesn’t need much care, you’ll want to water this hydrangea once a week, more often in hotter weather. The best time for pruning is early spring, just before it comes out of dormancy. Be sure to remove the spent blooms from the previous year, and you can also cut back the top third of the woody branches.
Natural root (also called bare root) trees are shipped without soil around their roots. They are shipped when dormant in the spring and fall seasons. We dip the roots in a hydrating gel to keep them moist during shipping.
There are a number of advantages to natural root trees:
The Urban Horticulture Institute at Cornell University has an interesting article about the benefits of planting natural root trees. Look for the PDF entitled Creating the Urban Forest: The Bare Root Method
Potted (also called containerized) trees come in 4" containers.
