With its spiny dark green leaves and bright red berries, this evergreen tree is easily recognizable and will add color interest to your yard all year long. The American holly is native to the eastern and central United States – it is frequently found in forests, woodlands, and even coastal dune areas. When given enough space to grow, the American holly will become a beautiful specimen plant.
