Overview

The Lodgepole Pine grows in zones 4-8.
This handsome native pine gets its name from the long, slender pole-like trunk it develops. The narrow, cone-shaped crown is made up of yellowish-green to dark green needles that are twisted in bundles of two.

  • Features a long slender, pole-like trunk and flaky, thin bark is that is orange-brown to gray or black
  • Produces 1½" cones that stay attached to the tree for years
  • Adaptable to a wide variety of soils
