Overview

The Bar Harbor Juniper grows in zones 3-9.
This creeping juniper is a hardy little specimen, often found growing in the crevices on the rocky coast of Mt. Desert Island, Maine. Its low-growing, wide-spreading nature makes the Bar Harbor juniper a good choice for rock gardens, foundation plantings, sloped landscapes, and mass plantings. In addition to its function as ground cover, the Bar Harbor juniper also provides a splash of color during the drab winter months—the evergreen foliage turns purple!

  • Provides good groundcover, low-growing evergreen
  • Displays blue-green color that turns reddish-purple in winter
  • Adapts to a wide range of climates and tolerant of salt spray
  • Will be delivered at a height of 3"– 5"
